Reprogrammed Adult Skin Cells Treat Parkinsons in Animal Model

Researchers at the Whitehead Institute and Harvard Stem Cell Institute(HSCI) have reported successfully reducing symptoms in a Parkinson's disease rat model by using dopamine producing neurons derived from reprogrammed adult skin cells.

South American Spectacular with Louise Richardson

From November 2 - 17, journey to three of South America's most dynamic and powerful countries: Brazil, Argentina, and Chile with Louise Richardson, executive dean of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University. During this program, Richardson will discuss topics from her first book on the Falklands War in the context of U.S.-Latin American relations as well as the history of terrorism and counter terrorism in the countries visited.
